I found you need to clear or move the present files out of the GTA user folder leaving it empty then move the downloaded saved games into there place and then start, I have had no probs on XP

For all the people having trouble loading savegames: Re-install GTAIII, or just replace your cracked exe with the original, upgrade your version to 1.1 with the official rockster patch, and then install the top 2 fixes from gamecopyworld.com, they should be only 1 & 2kb, not the huge 800kb ones. Their tags are something like savegame fix and 1.1 crack or something....Works easy, and also allows you to copy all music from the cd:/audio, into your game folder audio, so you dont need a cd to run it!

you have to download a fix from KaZaA or something, i had the problam too, just fill in at kazaa gta3 savegame fix

if u cant load save games go to start game new game and when it starts click ESC then click start game and laod game and then it loads good hahahhahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaghah

I have version 1.1 with the saved games patch installed, I have the files in my GTA 3 User Files folder in my documents, and I have no saved games still. What gives?

I have a bought version of GTA 3 with the 1.1 patch from Rockstar installed, and the savegames don't work. I have them in the GTA 3 User files folder in My Documents, but I appear to have no savegames anymore... and have lost the one that had me in Staunton Island...
