on lev 10, i can't get to the research station without my fighters being brutally murdered (by radiation) . do i hav 2 sneak round the bak in that space dust? miko

No way, your fighters won't survive even that way ... use cap ships or frigates. I strongly suggest taking along a grav-well to quell any fighter threats at the station. Anyway, fighters definitely won't work ...
